RWND

Biography

RWND, or better known as Erwin Oomen, is no stranger when it comes to the Harddance scene. At a young age he got hooked on uplifting melodies and pounding beats. As of 2007 he decided to climb on the stage himself, he performed as a DJ under several different aliases and in several different styles. In 2010 he decided to give producing a try. What started with Techno, later developed towards the genre he is in love with: Hardstyle!
In 2012 Erwin started as a duo under the alias ‘Sound Interference’ and after a lot of experimenting and a long line of music production lessons his first release in 2016 ‘Surrender’ was a fact. Not even half a year later the follow-up release ‘Something Inside’ came out. Although all this releasing felt right, Erwin decided to walk a new path as a solo artist in 2017. And thus RWND was born!

The name RWND, as he explains it stands for ‘taking a few steps back to make a fresh start’. This strikes both his personal story as his style of music. The sound of the years he fell in love 2010/11, can be heard in his music, all be it with a modern twist. He passes on this passion both in his music aswell in his energetic on stage performance.
RWND has already performed on several stages and don’t think it’s going to stop there. The goal is to perform on the main stages of Dutch festivals and he’s secretly dreaming of overseas performances aswell.
